Mediation Services of Toledo

Mediation is a form of dispute resolution, and is a method or system to help people resolve their disputes without the necessity of trials or litigation.  A mediator is a neutral third party that helps individuals to settle disputes and reach amicable resolutions.  A mediator does not make a decision about what is right or wrong, rather a mediator assists the parties to define the issues that need to be resolved, while helping the parties to negotiate a settlement between themselves.  Mediation also allows the parties to actively participate in the negotiation that affects their lives now and in the future.

Ron has extensive experience as a mediator, and has been mediating for over 25 years.  He is past Chair of the Ohio Commission on Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management as well as the Ohio State Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Committee.  This has allowed him to actively participate in promoting the process of mediation throughout the State of Ohio.

As an attorney, Ron is experienced in helping parties resolve their legal disputes.  Once Ron is retained as a mediator, he cannot act in the capacity of an attorney and/or provide legal advice to any party.  The parties involved are encouraged to have their own legal counsel, either present at the mediation or available by telephone if they need to seek legal counsel.  Anyone seeking more information about the mediation process to determine whether it can work to solve your dispute is encouraged to contact Ron for a consultation.
